Probably the best word ever. Cwtch (rhymes with butch) can mean either cuddle or cubbyhole. Grab a glass, relax and cwtch up with this untraditional Welsh red ale - a perfect blend of six caramelly malts and three citrussy American hops. Itis not your average bitter - the hops do more to this deep amber coloured beer than just provide bite. Any old hop can do that! Some of the most aromatic and tangy hops from the other side of the pond have been selected to give this red a fresh hit that complements the caramel flavours of the malts that gives this beer its colour. Drinkability and balance makes this beer. We love a good Cwtch, and we are not the only ones.
This kit makes 36 pints of beer at 4.6% abv. It has a beautiful red colour with American hop additions using Citra and Columbus hops. The IBU scale it achieves a score of 50, and has a starting gravity of 1.045.
In the box is 2 x 1.5Kg cans of hopped malt extract, 2 packets of 6g American beer yeast, 2 x 28g Citra hop pellets, 2 x 30g Columbus hop pellets and full instructions.
You will need sugar to prime the barrel or bottles. For bottles we recommend carbonation drops for a more controlled dose or use measuring spoons with sugar. We also recommend Beer Brite finings to ensure the beer is clear and the sediment is firm.

I've tried a few beer kits, and I keep coming back to this one. Loads more hops included than others I've tried and it shows in this lovely hoppy red ale. Cheers!

Extra hops compliment a superb malty base for the perfect beer for hopheads. No home brew taste either with this one. Top Notch! Will do again.

This is a very juicy, hoppy and bright, with a tingling strong bitterness that is very moreish and satisfying. Lives up to the hype!

It is a distinctive brew, and in a good way. A little more expensive than many kits, but it is worth it as it is a really lovely brew. As easy as any other kit, but a cut above many in the end result.
