• 4 Cups Apple Cider or Unfiltered Apple Juice

  • 1 Star Anise

  • 4 Whole Cloves

  • 2 Cinnamon Sticks

  • Fresh or Dried Ginger (1 cm Fresh or 1/8 tsp Dried)

  • 4 Strips Orange Peel

  • 120 ml (4 oz) Dark spirit of your choice (we love our Top Shelf Dark Spiced Rum or Top Shelf Apple Brandy for this recipe!) 


    • Place all of the ingredients except for the spirit into a small pan and warm gently over low heat. Bring it to just below a simmer for 30 minutes. You can also use a slow cooker on a low heat for about 4 hours.

    • Remove from the heat and stir in the spirit.

    • Strain to remove the spices then pour into glasses.
    • Garnish with a cinnamon stick and serve.
