What is it?
Thomas Coopers Light Malt Extract is made from malted barley and roasted malt and is an excellent adjunct for light or amber coloured beers. Malt Extract can be used as a basis for a dry kit or partial mash. Alternatively it can be added to any beer kit instead of sugar to improve the body whilst still keeping the final alcohol (ABV) levels consistent. One full can replaces 1Kg of sugar or brewing sugar/dried malt.
Malt Extract is produced by mashing finely ground malted and unmalted barley with water at a temperature not exceeding 75°C, then filtering and evaporating the resulting liquid under partial vacuum until it is the consistency of thick honey.
