What are carbonation drops?
Carbonation drops are compressed sugar and glucose into tablet form. These tablets are then easily put into bottles for priming (or carbonating the beer). Each tablet contains the same amount of sugar so each bottle will be evenly carbonated. A lot easier and more reliable than using sugar.

What is the size of bag?
The Mangrove Jack's Carbonation Drops are supplied in a 200g bag with approximately 60 tablets total.
What is the dose rate?
The guideline on the packet is 1 drop for a 350ml bottle, 2 drops for 750ml, 3 drops for 1.25l and 4drops for 2 litres.
As these are imported from New Zealand, these are the most popular sizes there.
For UK, we tend to use 1 drop per 500ml bottle, which seems to provide the perfect carbonation.
Carbonation Drops - FAQ
Are they suitable for all beer styles and how many do I use for UK style bottles?
Carbonation Drops can be used in any brand and any style of beer, lager stout or cider. The drops are generally used at a rate of 2 per 500ml bottle for medium carbonation, however you can alter this to suit your personal preference, if you would like a low level of carbonation you could use just one per 500ml bottle, or for a more lively result if more fizz is wanted, you could use up to a maximum of 3 drops per 500ml bottle.
