On The House Wine Kits
On The House is a range of premium quality craft winemaking kits that requires no added sugar (all of the sugar content is contained within the grape juice). These kits are easy to make and even easier to enjoy. Everything you need to make this wine is included with the kit (except water). The wine can be drunk young, but unlike some 3-week wine kits, it will continue to mature if you are patient. This kit will produce around 30 bottles (5 gallon - 22.5 litres) of delicious wine. Simple and straightforward, choose your favourite red, white or blush style and be proud of these easy-drinking everyday house wines.
What is Reisling
On The House Reisling is a dry white wine with plenty of citrus-fruit flavours on the palate and lovely floral aromatics. A Riesling which shows all the hallmarks of the classic Alsace style, elegant but with a certain weight and richness which is balanced by a brisk finish.
Riesling is a bit of an enigma; ethereal, floral and enchanting, Riesling is also one of the world's hardiest grape varieties, with a high level of frost resistance meaning it thrives in some of the coolest climate wine regions. This aromatic grape variety makes some of the world's finest white wines in a vast variety of styles, the best of which will age brilliantly, turning from floral, lime aromas and flavours to intriguing developed aromas of kerosene.

What equipment do you need?
This kit contains all the ingredients you’ll need, but you’ll also need the following equipment:
- Food grade plastic fermenter of no less than 25 L capacity
- Syphon kit
- Mixing spoon/paddle
- Sanitiser for the equipment
- 30 x 750 ml wine bottles with corks or stoppers
We also recommend the use of a Vinbrite filter to clear wine to a professional standard.
Partner this Reisling in the classic Alsace way with smoked meats, particularly pork.
If you can leave it a few months to mature, the wine will greatly improve.
