Blush (Rosé) is a type of wine that incorporates some of the colour from the grape skins, but not enough to qualify it as a red wine. It may be the oldest known type of wine, as it is the most straightforward to make with the skin contact method. The pink colour can range from a pale "onion-skin" orange to a vivid near-purple, depending on the varietals used and wine-making techniques. Rosé wines can be made still, semi-sparkling or sparkling and with a wide range of sweetness levels from highly dry Provençal rosé to sweet White Zinfandel's and blushes. Rosé wines are made from a wide variety of grapes and can be found all around the globe.
This kit produces 22.5L (30 bottles equivalent) of stunning Rosé (5 gallon of light pink wine) in just 7 days.
Although it takes around 1 week to finish, we highly recommend leaving this wine for as long as possible for further maturation and to release its more complex flavours and to deepen them further.
Included in the kit is a container of concentrated grape juice and sachets of yeast, stabiliser, finings and addback flavours - this improves taste & bouquet. You will need to add additional sugar (approx. 3.5Kg) and also add water.
Basic winemaking equipment is required for this kit, which can be found in the 'Starter Kits' section of our website.
