What is Sauvignon Blanc?
Sauvignon Blanc is a green-skinned grape variety that originates from the Bordeaux region of France. The grape gets its name from the French word sauvage meaning wild and blanc meaning white.
Sauvignon Blanc is "crisp, elegant, and fresh", as described by various wine experts, and gives grassy aromas. It is bursting with summer fruit flavours like honeydew melon, nectarine and peach. Sauvignon Blanc tastes very different to other white wines like Chardonnay because of its green and herbaceous flavours and is probably the most popular white wine in the world right now.
