What is it?
Winexpert Reserve Australian Cabernet Shiraz is a superior wine kit which requires no added sugar (all of the sugar content is contained within the grape juice). Everything you need to make this wine is included with the kit except water. This wine can be drunk after 6 weeks but we highly recommend that you leave it to mature for around 3 months to experience the quality, it will keep improving with age up to 12 months. This kit will make 5 gallons (22.5 litres) of wine which will produce around 30 bottles of delicious wine.

What is Cabernet Shiraz?
Cabernet Shiraz is a super-ripe fruity and bold flavoured dry wine. It provides flavours and aromas of blackberry, dark chocolate, liquorice and smoke developing notes of espresso, liquorice and chocolate in hotter conditions and with age leather truffles and earthy aromas. You will be greeted with a punch of flavour that tapers off and then as a wonderful spicy peppery note in the aftertaste.
Cabernet Shiraz is robust and considered one of the greatest, noble, black grape varieties around due to its ability to produce dark age-worthy full-bodied wines.

What equipment do you need?
Basic 5 gallon winemaking equipment, for example, a plastic bucket or fermenter, bung, airlock and sterilizer. You will find these under the starter kit section of this website
This punchy wine teams well with steaks, burgers and lasagne, unleashing intense flavours. Shiraz also compliments bite-sized mature, peppery cheese served on toasted bread and pasta dishes.
We recommend using a Vinbrite filter to clear the wine to a professional standard.
