What is Pinot Noir?
Pinot Noir is a French red wine grape variety. The name is derived from the French words meaning pine and black. The pine alludes to the grape variety having tightly clustered, pine cone-shaped bunches of fruit.
Pinot Noir is the world's most popular light-bodied red wine. It is loved for its red fruit, cherry and raspberry flavours, flower and spice aromas that are accentuated by a long, smooth finish. Pinot Noir is light to medium bodied, not too dry but certainly not sweet. This is why it is a favourite all over the world.
