This starter kit will start you on your journey into making wine from grapes. People typically refer to these types of wines as “country wines,” and they grow and harvest the main ingredient.  You can use your own grown grapes or grapes that you have obtained from a shop. This Grape Wine Starter Kit includes everything that you will need to start making your wine from grapes – you only need to supply the grapes and water.

What is included in the Grape Wine Starter Kit

• 10 litre Fermenting bucket with lid – for the initial fermentation
• Suresan Sanitiser – to make sure that the equipment is clean and sterile
• Fruit Straining Bag – A re-useable bag that you put the fruit into
• Airlock – to enable the gas from fermentation to escape
• Wine Yeast and Nutrient – to ferment the sugar to produce alcohol
• Pectic Enzyme – to breakdown pectin in the fruit to help clear the wine
• Stabiliser – To stop the wine working
• Wine Finings – to clear the wine
• Hydrometer – to check the fermentation process
• Demijohn – To transfer the wine into after a week
• Syphon Tube – To transfer the wine from the bucket to the demijohn
• Anti Sediment Stick – attaches to syphon tube and helps prevent sediment transfer
• Syphon Tap – to allow greater control over the flow
• Bucket Clip – to hold the syphon against the bucket

Can I make other wines?

With this starter kit you can use the equipment make any fruit, flower or vegetable wine, mead. There are recipes on our website and also many hundreds on the internet. You will need a fruit wine fermentation pack to make an alternative fruit wine.

Is there anything I can upgrade to make my wine better?

Yes, you can always upgrade equipment or invest in more equipment as you progress in your venture. A good item is a Vinbrite Wine Filter Kit. This is a filter that removes ALL haze from the wine giving you a professional clarity and shine in the wine. You use it at the end of fermentation just before bottling by transferring the wine from one vessel to another, passing it through the filter. The pad in the filter is very fine, and traps the haze particles. The wine that comes out of the filter sparkles in clarity.
