The Dark Rock Loyalty Membership Scheme is a free loyalty rewards service that we offer for instore purchases only. It is a way of thanking our retail customers for visiting us and purchasing from our store. This is a free service that we offer, and we give members the chance to save money on future purchases. We will log every purchase you make with your account, and once a level has been reached, you will automatically receive a discount voucher. This replaces the old loyalty scheme we ran whereby you needed to spend £25 to obtain a loyalty stamp. Now, every penny is logged, you do not need to purchase a set level, every purchase is valid and rewarded. Please see more details of the new Loyalty Membership Scheme below.
Dark Rock Membership Scheme – Loyalty rewards
As a simple way of saying “thank you” for taking the time and effort in visiting our retail shop and supporting Dark Rock Brewing, we have a FREE membership scheme that ALL our shop visitors can become part of.
What are the benefits of the Dark Rock Membership Scheme?
By signing up, you will automatically receive a 5% discount code of your next order. Every purchase you make is logged in your account, and when your total reaches £250, a 5% discount code is automatically emailed to you. You will be the first to be notified of limited edition releases of beer, wine and cider kits. You will receive exclusive offers only available to members. You are entitled to free samples of beers, wines and ciders that we are testing.
How do I join?
Joining is simple. All we need is your name and an email address. You will be given a card with your name and email on so that you can present it to a staff member so they can allocate your spend to the correct account.
How does the Dark Rock Membership Scheme work?
Every time you make a purchase in-store, your total gets logged into your account. When your total reaches £250, a 5% discount code will be automatically be generated and sent to your email address to be used on your next purchase. If you spend £500 in store on a single transaction, you will be emailed 2 x 5% discount vouchers. Simply show this barcode to the staff member, who will scan it to apply your discount at the till. The points can only be added at the time of payment. If they are not added at this time, they cannot be added later.
Can I use my joining discount straight away rather than on my next purchase?
Yes. When you join you will be emailed a 5% discount voucher. If you receive this voucher before purchasing your items, you can apply the discount to your order. Please note that sometimes emails can take time to be received, as accounts need to be set-up and allocated to the correct customer. If you join before you shop, you may receive your discount before you get to the till.
Can points be earned from online or click and collect orders?
No. This membership scheme is only active to customers who visit our shop and pay for goods at the till.
How will I receive my discount voucher?
Discount vouchers are automatically sent to the email address you provided upon joining. You will receive a barcode and a code. Just show us the email on your phone with the barcode so that we can scan it. You can also screenshot the voucher code, print it out or write down the code. Scanning the barcode is quicker, but we also have the option to type in the code manually.
I have lost or forgot my card
If you have forgotten your card, just tell us your name so that we can look it up on the system. You will also need to confirm your email address so that we have the right account to allocate the order to. If you have lost your card, we can issue another one free of charge.
Can I use a code more than once?
No. Once a code has been used, it is automatically removed from the system.
Can I give my discount code to a friend?
Yes. You can either screenshot the barcode, email it them or just give them the code. It makes no difference who uses the code, it will be applied at the till to complete the sale. Just remember that once a code is used, it will be removed from the system. It is a one time use only code.
Can I stack discount vouchers?
No. Only 1 discount voucher can be applied on each transaction. If you have 2 vouchers, these need to be used on 2 separate transactions.
Is there a time limit to use vouchers?
Yes. Your welcome voucher must be used within 30 days of being issued. Any vouchers that are earned must be spent within 90 days of being issued. This is the maximum time that the software allows and we cannot extend this anymore.
I have a voucher but it has expired
Unfortunately once a voucher has expired, it cannot be used. We cannot issue a new voucher or replace an expired voucher. If you do not use the voucher within the time limit, they are automatically deleted from the system. The voucher expiry date is clearly stated on the voucher.
How can I tell how many points I have?
Just ask a member of staff and show your membership card. We will look up your account and show your running total and how close you are to your voucher.
How do I get notified of Limited Edition kits and deals?
We have a Newsletter that we periodically send out. We will split this into 2 sections, customers who have subscribed online and customers who are in the Dark Rock Membership Scheme. We will send you any newsletters relating to limited edition kits 1 week before a general newsletter is sent out. The same if we have promotions – you will always be the first to know.
Can I really get free samples?
Yes. When we make test batches of new beers, wines and ciders, we always have bottles left over after we have analysed the end result. We will give any bottles that are left over to our members. Just show us your membership card and claim a free bottle if we have one. These will be on display behind the counter, sometimes there is a choice of several kits. So that everyone has a change to obtain a bottle, only one bottle per visit per day is allowed. Please note that we will continue to offer this service as long as stocks last. There may be times where we have no samples as we are waiting for kits to mature.
Are there any items not covered in the scheme?
Yes. Deposits for the large pub gas CO2 cylinders are not counted or added to the total.
