Beaverdale Blush – 6 Bottle Wine Kit

Blush is a light and refreshing wine, almost Rose in style. One of many various styles of blush wines which follow in the footsteps of Zinfandel Blush.

Blush (Rosé) is a type of wine that incorporates some of the colour from the grape skins, but not enough to qualify it like red wine. It may be the oldest known type of wine, as it is the most straightforward to make with the skin contact method. The pink colour can range from a pale “onion-skin” orange to a vivid near-purple, depending on the varietals used and wine-making techniques. Rosé wines can be made still, semi-sparkling or sparkling and with a wide range of sweetness levels from highly dry Provençal rosé to sweet White Zinfandels and blushes. Rosé wines are made from a wide variety of grapes and can be found all around the globe.

Beaverdale Kits

Beaverdale is a premium quality wine kit which requires no added sugar (all of the sugar content is contained within the grape juice).  Everything you need to make this wine is included with the kit (except water). The wine can be drunk young, but unlike some 3-week wine kits, it will continue to mature if you are patient. This kit will make 1 gallon (4.5 litres) of wine, which will produce around 6 bottles of delicious wine. The kit is easy to make and if you get hooked on the style it is also available in a 5 gallon (30 bottles) version.

What equipment do you need?

Basic 1 gallon winemaking equipment, for example, glass or plastic demijohn, bung, airlock and sterilizer. You will find these under the starter kit section of this website.

Food Pairing

Blush is a very crisp wine which pairs well with light salads, pasta, rice dishes and seafood. Perfect hot weather drinking.

Tips:

We recommend using a Vinbrite filter to clear the wine to a professional standard.
If you can leave it a few months to mature, the wine will greatly improve.
