Beaverdale Sauvignon Blanc – 6 Bottle Wine Kit

Sauvignon Blanc is a green-skinned grape variety that originates from the Bordeaux region of France. The grape gets its name from the French word sauvage meaning wild and blanc meaaning white.

Sauvignon Blanc is “crisp, elegant, and fresh”, as described by various wine experts, and gives grassy aromas. It is bursting with summer fruit flavours like honeydew melon, nectarine and peach. Sauvignon Blanc tastes very different to other white wines like Chardonnay because of its green and herbaceous flavours and is probably the most popular white wine in the world right now.

Beaverdale Kits

Beaverdale Sauvignon Blanc is a premium quality wine kit which requires no added sugar (all of the sugar content is contained within the grape juice).  Everything you need to make this wine is included with the kit except water. The wine can be drunk young, but unlike some 3 week wine kits, it will continue to mature if you are patient. This kit will make 1 gallon (4.5 litres) of wine which will produce around  6 bottles of delicious wine. The kit is easy to make and if you get hooked on the style, it is also available in a 5 gallon (30 bottle) version.

What equipment do you need?

Basic 1 gallon winemaking equipment for example, glass or plastic demijohn, bung, airlock and sterilizer. You will find these under the starter kit section of this website

Food Pairing

Sauvignon Blanc pairs well with green vegetables like asparagus, fresh peas and artichokes. It compliments delicate fish dishes like sole and Sauvignon Blanc’s bright acidity and herbal aromas make it a great choice with green salads, vegetarian dishes and goats cheese.

Tips:

We recommend using a Vinbrite filter to clear the wine to a professional standard.
If you can leave it a few months to mature, the wine will greatly improve
