On The House Blush is a light, refreshing, fresh & fruity Rosé wine with hints of Melon and Strawberry including a touch of spice on the nose. One of many various styles of blush wines that follow in the footsteps of Zinfandel Blush.

Blush (Rosé) is a type of wine that incorporates some of the colours from the grape skins, but not enough to qualify it as red wine. It may be the oldest known type of wine, as it is the most straightforward to make with the skin contact method. The pink colour can range from a pale “onion-skin” orange to a vivid near-purple, depending on the varietals used and wine-making techniques. Rosé wines can be made still, semi-sparkling or sparkling and with a wide range of sweetness levels from highly dry Provençal rosé to sweet White Zinfandels and blushes. Rosé wines are made from a wide variety of grapes and can be found all around the globe.

On The House Wine Kits

On The House is a range of premium quality craft winemaking kits that requires no added sugar (all of the sugar content is contained within the grape juice). These kits are easy to make and even easier to enjoy. Everything you need to make this wine is included with the kit (except water). The wine can be drunk young, but unlike some 3-week wine kits, it will continue to mature if you are patient. This kit will produce around 30 bottles (5 gallon – 22.5 litres) of delicious wine. Simple and straightforward, choose your favourite red, white or blush style and be proud of these easy-drinking everyday house wines.

Food Pairing

Blush is a very crisp wine that pairs well with light salads, pasta, rice dishes and seafood. Perfect hot weather drinking.

Tips

If you can leave it a few months to mature, the wine will greatly improve.
