Winexpert Reserve Australian Cabernet Shiraz is a superior wine kit that requires no added sugar because all sugar comes from the grape juice.  Everything you need to make this wine is included in the kit except water. You can drink this wine after 28 days, but we recommend maturing it for around 3 months to enjoy its full quality. It continues improving with age for up to 12 months. This kit will make 5 gallons (22.5 litres) of wine which will produce around  30 bottles of delicious wine.

What is Cabernet Shiraz?

Cabernet Shiraz is a super-ripe fruity and bold flavoured dry wine. It provides flavours and aromas of blackberry, dark chocolate, liquorice and smoke developing notes of espresso, liquorice and chocolate in hotter conditions and with age leather truffles and earthy aromas. You will taste a punch of flavour that tapers off, followed by a spicy, peppery aftertaste.

Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz produce a robust blend, widely regarded as one of the great noble grape combinations. This blend creates dark, age-worthy, full-bodied wines.

What equipment do you need?

Basic 5 gallon winemaking equipment, for example, a plastic bucket or fermenter, bung, airlock and sterilizer. You will find these under the starter kit section of this website
