Description
Azacca T90 Hop Pellets (USA)
Discover the bold, tropical character of Azacca T90 hop pellets, a favourite among commercial craft brewers and home brewing enthusiasts. Known for their intense citrus and tropical fruit aroma, Azacca hops deliver a unique blend of mango, pineapple, orange, papaya, and hints of pine resin, making them the perfect choice for IPAs, pale ales, hazy IPAs, and juicy craft beers.
These T90 hop pellets are carefully vacuum packed and nitrogen flushed by Dark Rock Brewing to preserve peak freshness and flavour. Each pack also includes a handy hop t-bag for easy brewing. Whether you’re dry hopping a hazy IPA, crafting a single-hop pale ale, or experimenting with hop blends, Azacca hops provide vibrant aroma and bold flavour that really stands out in every brew.
What hops go well with Azacca?
Azacca hops pair beautifully with other fruit-forward and aromatic hops, such as Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe, Sabro, and Idaho 7. These combinations enhance tropical and citrus notes, giving your beers complex, juicy layers of flavour.
Where do Azacca hops come from?
Azacca hops are grown in the Yakima Valley, Washington, USA, one of the world’s most respected hop-growing regions. Released commercially in 2012 and developed by the Hop Breeding Company (HBC), Azacca was bred for its distinct tropical and citrus aroma, making it a favourite for modern craft beer styles. The rich soils and ideal climate of the Pacific Northwest ensure high-quality, aromatic hops that shine in every batch.
T90 HOP PELLETS
T-90 hop pellets are produced from kiln-dried, whole leaf hop cones which have been hammer-milled into a uniform powder and pressed through a pellet die. Leaf hops vary in oil and vegetative content, so pellet compression is fine-tuned to achieve a consistent density for repeatable brewing, batch after batch.
Production processes are designed to protect and preserve hop resins by continually monitoring temperature and cooling the pellet die. Hop pellets retain all of their natural lupulin and cone material, and can be used as a full replacement for whole hops having a longer shelf life, requiring less storage space, and generally being easier to handle.
STORAGE
We weigh all hops only when there is an order for them – none have been sitting of shelves, they are taken out from a bulk vacuum sealed bag in cold storage at the time we complete your order. Our hop pellets are packaged inside UV protected polyethylene bags and vacuum sealed. They are then supplied to you in a box with a hop t-bag included.
Sometimes the vacuum seal can degrade – especially if hop dust settles alongside where the bag is heat sealed. If you receive the hops and it appears that the vacuum is breaking down, the hops will still be perfectly safe to use with no degradation of flavour.
If you do not intend to use then in a few days of receiving, we suggest that you store them in a fridge or freezer. Hop pellets stored near-freezing, preferably between -1°C and 5°C. Under these conditions, T-90 hop pellets will remain stable in closed containers for three (3) years.
