The Shamrock Whiskey Flavour makes a smooth and mellow Irish Whiskey that has delicious hints of vanilla and sherry.

BOTTLE SIZE:

This is a 50ml bottle and will flavour 2.25 litres, which is 3 x 750ml standard bottles. There are 3 markings on the side of the bottle so that it is easily measured into a 750ml bottle.

HOW TO USE THE FLAVOUR:

You can either add all the bottle to 2.25 litres of spirit, or you can use the guide on the side of the label to measure out the correct dose of flavour for a 750ml bottle. If you do not use all the contents, simply replace the screw on lid and store the bottle for future use.

WHAT TYPE OF SPIRIT TO USE.

The best spirit to flavour will be a neutral one, like vodka. A higher quality vodka will not have the same harshness as a cheaper vodka. Alternatively, you can make your own neutral spirit to flavour – this will certainly be the cheapest option and also the most rewarding.

EQUIPMENT NEEDED TO DISTIL YOUR OWN SPIRIT

The equipment required to make a spirit includes basic brewing equipment, which can be found in the ‘Starter kits’ section of our website. You will also need either a Still to distil your alcohol from a spirit wash (highly recommended), or you will need a high alcohol kit. There are two choices of stills on our website, the AirStill and the T500.

Cocktail Suggestion

Irish whiskey is best served neat over ice. It can be used to make an Irish coffee or you could try this cocktail recipe for the ‘Irish Gold’:

The Irish gold starts off with a shot of Tullamore Dew. To that, it adds peach schnapps and just a hint of orange juice to give it a fruity twist. It’s then finished off with your favourite ginger ale.
