Beaverdale Chardonnay – 30 Bottle Wine Kit

Chardonnay is a green-skinned grape used in the production of white wine. The variety originated in the Burgundy wine region of eastern France but is now grown wherever wine is produced, from England to New Zealand. The Chardonnay grape itself is very neutral and is vinified in many different styles, from the lean, crisply mineral wines of Chablis, France, to New World Wines with oak, and tropical fruit flavours. The flavours become more citrus, peach, and melon, while in very warm locations, more fig and tropical fruit notes such as banana and mango come out.

Chardonnay is arguably the most famous and successful of all white wine grapes and also one of the most widely planted.

Beaverdale Kits

Beaverdale Chardonnay is a premium quality wine kit which requires no added sugar (all of the sugar content is contained within the grape juice).  Everything you need to make this wine is included with the kit except water. The wine can be drunk young, but unlike some 3-week wine kits, it will continue to mature if you are patient. This kit will make 5 gallons (22.5 litres) of wine which will produce around  30 bottles of delicious wine. The kit is easy to make and if you get hooked on the style, it is also available in a 5 gallon (30 bottles) version.

What equipment do you need?

Basic 5 gallon winemaking equipment, for example, plastic bucket or fermenter, bung, airlock and sterilizer. You will find these under the starter kit section of this website

Food Pairing:

When it comes to pairing with food, Chardonnay is extremely versatile. Serve Chardonnay with mild, buttery or creamy dishes, meaty fish or simply seasoned poultry and pork dishes. Chardonnay is perfect with Gruyere cheese bringing out the fruit and nutty flavours.

 Tips:

We recommend using a Vinbrite filter to clear the wine to a professional standard.
If you can leave it a few months to mature, the wine will greatly improve
