Mangrove Jack’s Craft Series Pink Grapefruit IPA is inspired by Brew Dog’s Elvis Juice Citrus IPA, this contains great citrus hop notes combined with grapefruit aroma to give an abundance of fruit on the nose. Sharp and tangy, the grapefruit complements and enhances the citrus character of the hops, making it refreshing, clean and crisp on the palate.
- ABV Approx: 5.7%
- Dry Hops: Simcoe 25g, Cascade 25g
- Yeast: M44 US West Coast
- Bitterness: 3/5 IBU: 35-45

This kit requires the addition of 1kg brewing sugar or malt extract.

Once again Mangrove Jacks has came up with another excellent kit. I used their LME with it to add extra body and having done this kit before with just brewing sugar it definitely made a difference with the LME. Although it is a similar style to Brewdogs Elvis Juice it is no way near as punchy which I actually quite like. If you want it more similar then you will have to tweak it. Will make a refreshing pint for a long summer day.
Excellent brew though, whilst I didn’t detect any hint of grapefruit, a very pleasant flavour which developed over time. I would recommend using a filter bag on your siphon when racking off as I did lose a gold couple of pints due to the hop residue.
No mention of additional brewing sugar required until you receive the kit. The photo image of the kit is different to that received. So I need to make another purchase. Will not use Dark Rock for this because of the shipping cost. So will go down to the local Wilco. Neutral rating because I have not started it. I recommend that Dark Rock makes this clear in the description.
Great starter kit and tastes just as good as bought beers. Very easy instructions.
Great tasting beer, does what it says on the pack. Added pure brew to improve water and that worked a treat too. would recommend
