Red Grape Concentrate

Grape Concentrate is added to country wines to boost body in the final wine. This can be added to any red wine you are making.

Description

Red Grape Concentrate

Red Grape ConcentrateConcentrated grape juice (or white grape concentrate) is added to country wines to give the finished wine extra body. This is a very viscous liquid as the juice has been concentrated with a lot of the water removed. Adding this concentrate will give your wine that extra bit of body to make the wine taste more rounded and fuller, rather than weaker and insipid.

Addition Rates

If you are making a country wine, then 250ml is usually added per 4.5 litres (1 gallon) of wine being made. You can always add less if you need, but it is always best to add some rather than not.

You can also add concentrate into any wine that you make – even a kit – to help boost overall body and mouthfeel of the finished wine. This will benefit the express wine kits that require sugar to be added at the start.

How long does it last?

The concentrate is supplied in a plastic bottle, and is filled from a large container. It is stored in a fridge to keep it cool and prolong its life. However, we would recommend that you use the concentrate within 7 days of purchase, although it will keep longer.
