Tribute to Holden’s Golden Glow is a beautifully balanced English golden ale inspired by the distinctive character of the original Holden’s Golden Glow. Expect a bright golden colour, delicate malt sweetness, subtle honey like notes and a refreshing hop character, finishing clean, crisp and pleasantly bitter.

Carefully selected English malt, quality hops and premium brewing yeast combine to create a beer with plenty of character without being heavy or overpowering. At approximately 4.6% ABV, Tribute to Holden’s Golden Glow makes an excellent everyday pint. Refreshing enough for a session while still delivering the depth and flavour you’d expect from a traditional British ale.

Holden’s Brewery has been producing traditional Black Country real ales for generations, with brewing at the historic brewery site dating back to the early 20th century.

The brewery is renowned for its traditional approach to brewing, combining quality English malts, carefully selected hops, its distinctive house yeast and pure Black Country water. Traditional brewing methods remain an important part of Holden’s character, helping to give its beers their distinctive flavour and individuality.

Golden Glow is one of the brewery’s best known beers, recognised for its golden appearance, balanced malt character, gentle bitterness and highly drinkable finish.

Brewers Tips

This kit includes Pure Brew, a professional enhancer that boosts fermentation and treats brewing water. It feeds yeast with vital nutrients, while removing Chlorine and Chloramine, which can cause off-flavours. Since water quality is key to great beer, we strongly recommend using Pure Brew in every brew for consistently better results.

You’ll also get Harris Starbrite finings, a vegan-friendly clarifier that helps your beer clear quickly and encourages sediment to settle. This is especially useful if you’re kegging, as it reduces the risk of haze and sediment transfer.

To make brewing even easier, we’ve included a muslin grain bag and hop t-bag. For a more advanced setup, consider adding a metal hop spider. It offers better hop circulation during the boil, is easy to clean, and can be reused again and again.
