Description
Dark Rock Session Series India Pale Lager Kit
The IPL style has evolved from a combination of IPA and lager. This beer is deliciously refreshing and bright, with a delightful aftertaste and aroma provided by Motueka and Simcoe dry hops. A perfect beer to compliment a good curry or a barbeque. You will need to add either a Dark Rock Lager Beer Kit Enhancer (recommended) or 1Kg Brewing Sugar to make this kit.
Session Series
The new Session Range from Dark Rock Brewing takes kit brewing to a new level. High quality hopped malt extracts are matched with carefully selected blends of the freshest dry hops, to produce delicious beers with enticing aromas. These kits are simple to make and fast to clear and mature. From fermenter to glass within a month, and results which are of commercial quality. The range follows the best styles from around the world and includes a powerful West Coast APA, which packs a hoppy punch from the latest crop of Citra and Simcoe hops. From down under, there are three carefully selected styles; a New Zealand Pilsner, New Zealand Riwaka Pale Ale, and an Aussie Gold Ale. They are true to the Southern Hemisphere styles. An English Amber Ale and Canadian Craft Ale provide a more traditional amber style, with hops that are true to the malts, to provide a balanced moreish taste. Finally, a newer style, which is set to be a trendsetter is the India Pale Lager. The IPL uses Motueka and Simcoe hops to produce a hybrid style which is a cross between a lager and IPA. The result is a refreshing lager with a delicate hoppy taste and aroma. Perfect for summer barbeques and to compliment curry evenings. These kits are dead easy to make and produce beer as good as you can buy in a pub for around 40p per pint. With value like that, what’s not to like.
ADDITIONAL INGREDIENTS REQUIRED:
To make this kit, you will either need 1Kg Brewing Sugar or 1Kg Lager Beer Kit Enhancer (Preferred). Later, you will also need sugar or carbonation drops to prime the keg or bottles for the secondary fermentation. We also advise using finings like Starbrite to ensure your lager clears quickly and the sediment sticks to the bottom on the bottle or keg.

Great for a one tin kit, Exceptional taste of a nice hoppy larger very refreshing
This is a lovely beer a cross between the two styles, very fruity on the nose and refreshing. Great kit and will work my way through the range! Highly recommended!
This is a real nice beer. The beer was barrelled in a kingkeg, which gave it a lower carbonation. The finished result was superb.
The beer had a lovely biscuit flavour and a crisp hop aroma.
Brewed with dark rock larger enhancer made a really nice beer perfect for bbqs! Tropical fruity taste but not over powering great on draft
Truly great summer beer. A light lager flavour with a great punch of fruity hops, when chilled down is great in the sun. A comparison I feel would be the craft ales that have recently become popular! Brewed with the lager enhancer. Would highly recommend, along with the majority of others in this range I’ve tried.
