Coopers Australian Pale Ale | Extract Beer Kit
Due to popular demand our master brewers have developed a beer concentrate in the style of the famous COOPERS ORIGINAL PALE ALE which is considered an Australian icon.
The finest 2-row barley, hops and specially selected yeast combine to produce a beer with fruity and floral characters, balanced with a crisp bitterness and compelling flavour perfect for every occasion.
This Kit Contains 1.7kg Malt extract and produces 40 Pints (23 Litres) of Blonde Ale at a fraction of commercial cost and is the perfect kit for a beginner. Basic brewing equipment is required and can be found under the ‘Starter Kits’ section of our website.
ADDITIONAL INGREDIENTS REQUIRED:
To make this kit, you will either need 1Kg Brewing Sugar or 1Kg Beer Kit Enhancer (Preferred). Later, you will also need sugar or carbonation drops to prime the keg or bottles for the secondary fermentation. We also advise using finings like Starbrite to ensure your lager clears quickly and the sediment sticks to the bottom on the bottle or keg.
WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU NEED?
Basic beer making equipment (5g fermenter, airlock, syphon tube with sediment trap, hydrometer, Suresan sanitiser, bottles or barrel). These are available under the starter kit section on this website.
TIPS

We strongly recommend using Pure Brew with this kit to achieve commercial-quality beer. Pure Brew acts as a professional beer enhancer and improves fermentation performance. It feeds yeast essential nutrients and supports strong fermentation, even in low oxygen conditions. Additionally, it treats brewing water and removes chlorine and chloramine. These compounds can cause unwanted “homebrew” flavours in the finished beer. Brewing water quality plays a key role in final beer quality. However, many homebrewers often overlook this important factor. Pure Brew helps you easily condition water and improve fermentation results.
Furthermore, beer finings improve clarity and final presentation. Harris Beer Brite clears beer quickly and helps sediment settle at the bottom. This works especially well for bottles and barrels after fermentation. If you use Corny Kegs, clear the beer as much as possible before kegging. Finings help sediment and haze particles drop out more efficiently before packaging. Harris Starbrite provides a highly effective vegan-friendly fining option. As a result, homebrewers achieve clearer, better-looking, and better-tasting beer.

I brewed this kit using a 1.2 kg Mangrove jack liquid malt extract.
The end result was a clean, sharp, thirst quenching beer. A very rewarding golden coloured beer with floral notes.
I gave two bottles to a friend and he could not believe it was made from a kit.
Dark Rock always provides the best in homebrew.
If you are new to brewing then you can’t go wrong with a Coopers kit. Simple to use and for the price it produces a decent beer. These are just a one can kit so to help enhance it you may want to add additional hops or use spray malt or Coopers brew enhancer.
With this being a one can kit it is not as good as a premium two can kit. Saying that I enjoyed this pale ale. Used Coopers Brew enhancer which provided more body to the beer. Lovely taste and aroma. Think next time I might tweak it a little by adding in some more hops or steeping some grains.
