Lalvin EC1118™ originates from a famous sparkling wine region and produces excellent sparkling base wine and supports “in-bottle” secondary fermentation.
It is a versatile, high-performance yeast used for white, red, and sparkling wine production. Known for its clean fermentation and neutral flavour contribution, it ensures reliable results in a wide range of winemaking conditions.
It is very resistant to osmotic pressure. Lalvin EC1118™ delivers robust and reliable fermentation kinetics. It adds very little sensory character, keeping its impact neutral on wine flavour. Winemakers use it extensively worldwide for both white and red wine production.
