The Commercial Brewery
Timothy Taylor’s is a historic family owned brewery founded in 1858 by Timothy Taylor in Keighley, West Yorkshire. In 1863, the brewery moved to its current home at Knowle Spring in Keighley, where it has continued brewing for generations.
The brewery has built its reputation around a commitment to quality and the principle of never accepting second best. Landlord is the brewery’s best-known beer and one of Britain’s most highly decorated pale ales. This kit includes Pure Brew, a professional brewing enhancer designed to support healthy fermentation and improve brewing water. It provides essential yeast nutrients while helping neutralise chlorine and chloramine, which can contribute unwanted flavours to finished beer. For the best possible results, add the included Pure Brew as directed in the brewing instructions.
You will also receive Harris Starbrite Beer Finings, a vegan friendly beer clarifier that helps encourage yeast and other particles to settle, producing a brighter, clearer finished beer. This is particularly useful when kegging and can help reduce sediment transfer.
Your Landlord style extract beer kit also includes a disposable hop T-bag to make adding and removing the hop pellets simple and convenient. For home brewers who want to upgrade their setup, a reusable stainless steel dry hopper can provide greater hop circulation and can be cleaned and reused for future brews.
Tip: This beer is at its best when served fresh after sufficient conditioning. Allow at least two weeks for the flavours to settle and develop, then serve cool to enjoy the balance of delicate malt, complex hop aroma and refreshing bitterness.
