Description
Coopers Irish Stout Kit
This is a rich, dark brew displaying coffee, chocolate and liquorice aromatics, roasty bitter notes with a dry finish. Coopers Irish Stout is an authentic recipe containing a blend of malted barley, roasted barley, flaked barley and hops. The pour will exhibit a turbulent, cascading tan foaming action. Eventually, this settles into a creamy beige coloured head that rests atop the beer.
This Kit Contains 1.7kg Malt extract and produces 40 Pints (23 Litres) of Blonde Ale at a fraction of commercial cost and is the perfect kit for a beginner. Basic brewing equipment is required and can be found under the ‘Starter Kits’ section of our website.
ADDITIONAL INGREDIENTS REQUIRED FOR COOPERS IRISH STOUT:
To make this kit, you will either need 1Kg Brewing Sugar or 1Kg Beer Kit Enhancer (Preferred). Later, you will also need sugar or carbonation drops to prime the keg or bottles for the secondary fermentation. We also advise using finings like Starbrite to ensure your lager clears quickly and the sediment sticks to the bottom on the bottle or keg.
WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU NEED TO MAKE COOPERS IRISH STOUT?
Basic beer making equipment (5g fermenter, airlock, syphon tube with sediment trap, hydrometer, Suresan sanitiser, bottles or barrel). These are available under the starter kit section on this website.
TIPS

We strongly recommend using Pure Brew with this kit to achieve commercial-quality beer. Pure Brew acts as a professional beer enhancer and improves fermentation performance. It feeds yeast essential nutrients and supports strong fermentation, even in low oxygen conditions. Additionally, it treats brewing water and removes chlorine and chloramine. These compounds can cause unwanted “homebrew” flavours in the finished beer. Brewing water quality plays a key role in final beer quality. However, many homebrewers often overlook this important factor. Pure Brew helps you easily condition water and improve fermentation results.
Furthermore, beer finings improve clarity and final presentation. Harris Beer Brite clears beer quickly and helps sediment settle at the bottom. This works especially well for bottles and barrels after fermentation. If you use Corny Kegs, clear the beer as much as possible before kegging. Finings help sediment and haze particles drop out more efficiently before packaging. Harris Starbrite provides a highly effective vegan-friendly fining option. As a result, homebrewers achieve clearer, better-looking, and better-tasting beer.

Not quite what I imaged it to be, I was hopeful for a creamy stout, more akin to Guinness, I get more liourice more than anything, and there no head from my bottles at all.
Honestly, not sure if I’ll even drink it all

Really good and easy stout, extremely smooth and full of flavour. I used dark malt instead of sugar to gain the extra depth of flavour. Its very popular and never lasts long especially with the ladies
