Muntons Connoisseurs Winter Ale

This is a Limited Edition Winter Ale kit that produces 30 pints (17 litres) of beer at approximately 6% abv.

This brew is a lightly spiced British ale with subtle hints of cardamom and coriander. A warming favourite for the long Winter evenings, with a robust hoppy flavour. The carefully selected yeast brings out the best of this classic Winter Ale. It accentuates the toasted elements whilst adding delicate fruity notes.

ADDITIONAL INGREDIENTS REQUIRED:

To make this kit, you will either need 1Kg Brewing Sugar or 1Kg Amber Beer Kit Enhancer (Preferred). Later, you will also need sugar or carbonation drops to prime the keg or bottles for the secondary fermentation. We also advise using finings like Starbrite to ensure your lager clears quickly and the sediment sticks to the bottom on the bottle or keg.

Each Beer kit contains 1.8kg of 100% hopped malt extract. – In common with all Muntons beer kits, no cheap barley syrup is used in their manufacture. With the Connoisseurs range you will be able to experience taste sensations including Wheat Beer modelled on the best German Weizen style beers, Bock – the distinctive dark lager of Bavaria, Export Stout – a classic full-bodied hoppy stout and a wide range of other style beers.

This 1.8Kg can will need 1Kg Brewing Sugar, 1Kg Beer Kit Enhancer or 1.5Kg Light Malt Extract from the Muntons range.

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU NEED?

Basic beer making equipment (5g fermenter, airlock, syphon tube with sediment trap, hydrometer, Suresan sanitiser, bottles or barrel). These are available under the starter kit section on this website.
