The Commercial Brewery
Fuller’s has a long association with brewing in London, with beer brewed at the historic Griffin Brewery site in Chiswick for centuries. The modern brewing company was established in 1845, when John Bird Fuller joined forces with Henry Smith and John Turner, creating the business that became known as Fuller, Smith & Turner.
The brewery became famous for producing a range of distinctive British ales, including London Pride, ESB, Chiswick Bitter and 1845. London Pride went on to become its most recognisable beer and a popular example of the traditional English ale style.

Brewers Tips
This kit includes Pure Brew, a professional brewing enhancer designed to support healthy fermentation and improve brewing water. It provides essential yeast nutrients while helping neutralise chlorine and chloramine, which can contribute unwanted flavours to finished beer. For the best possible results, add the included Pure Brew as directed in the brewing instructions.
You will also receive Harris Starbrite Beer Finings, a vegan friendly beer clarifier that helps encourage yeast and other particles to settle, producing a brighter, clearer finished beer. This is particularly useful when kegging and can help reduce sediment transfer.
Your London Pride style beer kit also includes a disposable hop T-bag to make adding and removing the hop pellets simple and convenient. For home brewers who want to upgrade their setup, a reusable stainless steel dry hopper can provide greater hop circulation and can be cleaned and reused for future brews.
Tip: Allow the beer to condition for at least two weeks after fermentation. This gives the rich malt flavours, subtle fruit character and traditional hop notes time to settle into balance, producing a smoother and more rounded finished ale.
My first go at a part grain kit after doing several extracts and the difference is 2nd division to Premiership!. Easy to follow instructions and a good step up on the way to AG. London Pride is one of my all time go to ales and this isn’t far away. The colour is spot on, a rich chestnut and the taste was there. A great pint, Well done Dark Rock !
Bought this kit mid December, bottled it yesterday and it is already tasting fabulous. After trying all-grain, but only with a 15 litre pan for mashing/boiling, this part grain “half way house” is sure to be my way forward until I can afford more expensive, shiny stuff. Good, clear instructions, fabulously packaged.
