This classic, golden-coloured Cornish ale offers a subtle bitterness and a distinctively fruity aroma provided using a blend of the finest British hops, making this a deliciously moreish drink. This kit produces 40 pints of delicious ale at 4.6% ABV.

With our friendly expert guidance, these kits are suitable for beginners as well as more experienced brewers. All you need extra is a pan and a thermometer. By adding a ‘mini-mash’ to the malt extract brewing technique, using different varieties of malt and hops, you can create more complex flavoursome beers according to your taste.

Dark Rock kits combine 3kg of the finest quality malt extract with a blend of premium malt grains and hops sourced by us from around the world. We believe our kits are the best on the market and feedback from our many satisfied customers backs this up.

All ingredients are bought and stored fresh and weighed into individual bags. Our hops are vacuum-packed in nitrogen-flushed foil bags to produce the maximum flavour and aromas.

Brewers Tips

This kit includes Pure Brew, a professional enhancer that boosts fermentation and treats brewing water. It feeds yeast with vital nutrients, while removing Chlorine and Chloramine, which can cause off-flavours. Since water quality is key to great beer, we strongly recommend using Pure Brew in every brew for consistently better results.

You’ll also get Harris Starbrite finings, a vegan-friendly clarifier that helps your beer clear quickly and encourages sediment to settle. This is especially useful if you’re kegging, as it reduces the risk of haze and sediment transfer.

To make brewing even easier, we’ve included a muslin grain bag and hop t-bag. For a more advanced setup, consider adding a metal hop spider. It offers better hop circulation during the boil, is easy to clean, and can be reused again and again.
